Life Enhancement Classes
Tender Hearts offers a variety of interesting extra curricula classes in the arts, music, dance and more. Each one is taught by an experienced instructor under contract to Tender Hearts. There will be a registration fee of $10.00 per child for each activity. Details on each class, along with the cost, will be explained in our Life Enhancement flyer.

Music Appreciation
Ages: 3 Year Old Classroom - Kindergarten
Mozart’s Magic Flute, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, Tchaikovsky’s Peter and the Wolf, and Elvis Presley’s Jailhouse Rock. These are but a few of the masterpieces each child will be exposed to in this exciting class. Students will make their own instruments, play piano and drums, and sing their favorite songs, while learning notes, rhythm and other basic musical concepts. Students are guaranteed to leave each class with a song on their lips and a bounce in their step.

Karate
Ages: 3 Year Old Classroom - Kindergarten
A trained Black Belt instructor will be offering basic Karate classes for children. These classes focus on tumbling, self-awareness skills, basic self-defense methods and focusing. This is a class proven to be fun for these age groups, as well as introducing exercise as part of every life. (There may be an extra charge for karate outfits.)

Yoga
Ages: 3 Year Old Classroom - Kindergarten
A children’s yoga instructor will be offering a weekly class. Your child will listen to stories and sing songs that will teach them 26 playful yoga poses, various breathing and relaxation techniques, correct posture, movements and games inspired by animals, flowers and other familiar icons that children love. Yoga helps children develop better body awareness, flexibility, self-control and coordination. It is a safe, fun, challenging and healthy activity that teaches children how to harness their energy and shift from a high gear, restless frame of mind to being relaxed. So come and join the fun! (There may be an extra charge for yoga mats.)

Computer
Ages: 3 year Old Classroom - Kindergarten
Playing games on the computer is always fun and sometimes very confusing. The computer class will teach the correct names of all the parts of the computer, how to load the computer correctly and play some educational games at the same time. Each student will have a private half-hour lesson that will be individualized to meet each child’s needs. The computer teacher will follow the themes and lessons children are being taught in their classrooms. Letter recognition, numbers, colors and shapes will be incorporated into each program. If your child has a fun computer game they would like to share with their instructor, please bring it in.

Spanish
Ages: 3 year old Classroom - Kindergarten
Hola! Our Spanish class will introduce your preschooler to a wonderful language in a fun and interactive way. Your child will learn how to say useful words and phrases, greetings, colors, numbers, shapes, the alphabet and much more. We will play games and sing songs in Spanish. Your child will be introduced to the food and culture of Spanish speaking countries as well as participate in various fun holiday celebrations. So come and join in the fun.

Dance
Ages: Older Toddler - Kindergarten
This class introduces children to the basic dance techniques of tap and ballet in a creative way, emphasizing movement, coordination, self-expression and musical awareness. The children will have fun while gaining self-confidence. There will be a small dance recital at the end of the school year. (There maybe an extra charge for recital outfits.)

Piano
Ages: 4 Year Old Classroom - Kindergarten
Increase musicianship, creativity, dexterity and brainpower with private piano lessons. Technique, notes, rhythm, and other musical rudiments will be introduced by a skilled, fun and patient instructor dedicated to each student’s early mastery of the greatest of all musical instruments. At the end of the school year, we will even have a small piano recital - so join in the fun! (There may be an extra charge for piano books.)
